Ok, so last night I taught a teleclass for entrepreneurs who wanted to get into blogging. About 20 minutes into the lesson, the line dropped.
The audio cut out and class was over. Then the panic emails started coming in.
Now this isn’t the first time this happened, so I was prepared. I had a second line active to record the class so it wasn’t all bad. BUT when I got off the call, I checked the date and realized it was the first day of the Mercury Retrograde. And I knew that was it. In fact, when I looked back at the date the other class and it was during the last retrograde.
During the last one, two of my friends got into car wrecks, I found myself arguing a whole lot with my man and a few of my business deals folded. The only reason I managed to survive with my sanity is because I was ready. I had mentally prepared for the bullshit.
Unfortunately for us, that phrase really is true..you can’t control your circumstances, you can only control your response to them. So, when mercury starts wreaking havoc, how will you handle it?
If you’ve been experiencing technical difficulties with your phone, computer, car or notice your relationships struggling: don’t take it personal, just blame the retrograde. Ya’ll know me though, I’m all about solutions and I don’t want to spend too much time talking about the problem.
So, if you’re still thinking “Why is the retrograde ruining my life?” then here’s a quick overview from Galadarling.com, you can find a ton of other detailed information about the mercury retrograde with a quick google search “Mercury in retrograde.” But, in the meantime this is an easy read that explains it all. I included a link to the full blog below. Plus, you can get tons more info in WERK101.
The planets are swinging around at all times, and their movements affect us all in different ways. All planets go retrograde, but Mercury’s journey seems to impact people much more than any other. (Even people who “don’t believe in astrology” often “believe” in the crazy aftershocks of Mercury retrograde!)
Why is that? It’s because Mercury rules communication, clear thinking, truth and travel, so when the planet goes retrograde — which means that it looks like it’s going backwards in the sky — all those things go backwards. They start to get ugly and tangle up. Mercury isn’t really going backwards, it’s just hanging out by the sun, but from Earth, that makes it look like it’s in reverse. It typically runs for a couple of weeks, a few times a year.
Check out these dates below and put them in your calendar!
